Notes
A Treatise on "Duffield" (1888), pp. 88-9. The instruction is to "omit the three consecutive Bs in eight of the ten parts". For definiteness, musicality, and convenience, here they are left in in parts 2 and 3 (but moving one of these blocks to part 9 would add 1 to the music score!). A variation such as this was rung as the first performance in the method on ten bells at All Saints' Duffield, 19th March 1888.
